Every plant and animal on Earth require the sun to thrive. Unlike industrialized food-like substances, natural foods harvested under the sun contain a beautiful biochemistry such as phytochemicals, antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins due to sunlight and water conversion. When consumed, this energy and matter transmits to us and nourishes our bodies, giving us the necessary nutrients we need to function to our full potential.
There’s no doubt the food industry has made a fortune convincing us to buy industrialized and highly processed foods at the expense of our health (even food brands claiming to be healthy use tricky branding strategies to mislead health-conscious consumers, which is why reading food labels is vital). My goal here is to share delicious recipes mostly made from wholesome ingredients to remind ourselves to eat natural foods kissed by the sun AND how to eat it for ultimate nutrition. JOIN! XX

As someone who’s grown up choosing primarily healthy foods by default, when I developed gut issues a couple of years ago, I realized there is more to our eating habits that contribute to the quality of our wellbeing. What I eat is important but also how I eat influences the way I feel ultimately. Our diet triggers certain responses to our bodies and it is important to pay attention to them. In other words, food gives our body information and communicates through the way we respond to it.
